Five days ago we started C. on a new anti-epileptic drug: Inovelon or Banzel (rufinamide). It's intended for Lennox-Gastaut (a form of epilepsy) and received FDA approval in 2008.
The doctor explained that her EEG was not classic LG, but some of her symptoms are of a LG nature. She also noted that since C. has been through so many drugs with little effect, the chance that any drug will yield significant results is slight.
Well, never mind. My hopes for C. were thoroughly dashed a long time ago.
