Updates

My daughter C.,
"sitting"

We are still awaiting the seating equipment for C.'s wheelchair and I am fast growing infuriated by the blase-ness of the seating expert/physiotherapist, E. who is supposedly "taking care of it." I've asked the hubby to contribute a bit of nudging.

We are also anxiously awaiting news about our application for medical marijuana. The forms have been received by the Ministry of Health (they even contacted us and the doctor about minor snafus in the paperwork) but it will be at least one month before a decision is reached.  At least we are on the road.

Inspired by Elizabeth Aquino (see her post "Tiny Matters" from Wednesday, June 18), I have been reading  "Tuck Everlasting" by Natalie Babbett aloud to C. during every meal. Why didn't I think of reading to her years ago? Just another regret on my long list of them.

And every night we do this sitting. C. has grown so proficient at it, I was able to leave her unsupported for long enough to snap her at this feat (see photo above).

Thank you for the shout-out! And I love that photo of your young lady -- she looks so graceful and her manner is much like my Sophie's. I'm happy that you're reading aloud to her -- we'll have to get book ideas from one another!
