We often write and hear about the "others", i.e. parents of children with disabilities who don't love, nurture or appreciate them and, in too many cases, murder them.
But how about the parents of pre-schoolers without a smidgen of disability, be it physical, cognitive or mental? Parents who pressure those children to excel at everything, appreciate them only if they "deliver" and brag about them ad nauseum?
It's a version of child abuse that's still under the radar.
