A national association for children and adults with intellectual disabilities here where we live reported this week that, according to a new poll, 43 percent of our compatriots think intellectually disabled people should be kept in special frameworks isolated from mainstream society while 25% consider intellectually challenged people dangerous and prone to aggression.
Yikes! That's progress??
